Located at the very end of the St. George Peninsula in the quaint village of Port Clyde, Maine you will discover the Ocean House Hotel. A charming 10 room bed & breakfast, originally built in the 1830's as a rooming house for local mariners, it has almost 180 years of lodging history. This historic Inn has been family owned and operated for 24 years by Bud Murdock, Proprietor. Buddy bought the Ocean House in 1985. He lives in Port Clyde year round with his wife Joan. His sister Patsy has run the Ocean House Hotel restaurant for 23 years. Our comfortable dining room currently only serves breakfast to the guests of the hotel. It is also available for dinner parties upon request. The atmosphere is friendly and casual. Beautifully restored, almost all of our rooms offer views of the ocean and the working harbor of Port Clyde. You will enjoy breathtaking sunsets from our 2nd story common porch as well as views of the surrounding islands of Muscongus Bay. You will find a large selection of reading material in our common room, tea and coffee are also available throughout the day.

Just steps from the hotel is the Monhegan Boat Landing which runs daily trips to Monhegan Island, the Port Clyde General Store, Port Clyde Kayak Tours, the Dip Net restaurant and an assortment of galleries. Don't forget a treat from the Village Ice Cream Shop! The famous Marshall Point Lighthouse and Museum is a short walk away as is the Drift-in Beach, Port Clyde's picturesque swimming beach.

Nearby Rockland and the village of Camden hosts more galleries including the Farnsworth Art Museum and the Wyeth Center in Rockland. You will also find many excellent restaurants, golf courses, parks, lighthouses and piers. Don't miss the windjammers in Camden Harbor or the shopping in the village.
